New Student Move-In

New student move-in will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

All incoming resident students will receive detailed instructions from the Office of Housing and Residence Life in early August, including their assigned arrival time, check-in information, and guidance about what to bring. Please plan to arrive during your assigned time to help move-in run smoothly for everyone.

Move-in uses an unload-and-go process. While the student checks into their residence hall, belongings should be unloaded from the vehicle. Student volunteers will be available to assist, and once unloading is complete, drivers will be directed to nearby parking.

Incoming students who were unable to attend one of MassArt’s June Orientation sessions will also have an opportunity to participate in Orientation programming on Move-In Day.

Before You Arrive

Keep an eye on your MassArt email for important updates from Housing and Residence Life, including your assigned move-in time and check-in instructions.

New students should also make sure all required forms are submitted before arriving on campus.

Welcome Week runs Sunday, August 30 through Thursday, September 3, 2026, with programs and activities designed to help new students get to know the MassArt community and prepare for the semester ahead.

Please check the Orientation page regularly for updates as Move-In Day approaches.

Returning Student Move-In

Returning student move-in will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Returning residents will receive an assigned move-in time and additional instructions by email in early August. Please arrive during your assigned time to help keep the check-in process running smoothly.
