Colleges of the Fenway and ProArts
Cross-register for courses, join intramural sports, performing arts programs clubs, and much more.
Massachusetts College of Art and Design is affiliated with the Colleges of the Fenway (COF) and the ProArts Consortium. These affiliations broaden MassArt students’ educational experiences, allowing them to engage with a diverse community of peers and access resources beyond what is available solely on their campus. It also fosters a sense of community and collaboration within the broader Boston arts and academic scene.
Colleges of the Fenway
The Colleges of the Fenway (COF) is a collaborative partnership of neighboring colleges in the Fenway area:
- Emmanuel College
- Massachusetts College of Art and Design
- Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
- Simmons University
- Wentworth Institute of Technology
Through the COF, MassArt students can access a wide range of resources and facilities, including libraries, recreational facilities, and extracurricular activities offered by other member institutions – sign up for the COF Newsletter to stay in the loop!
Cross-Register
Take advantage of the wide variety of courses offered by any school in the Colleges of the Fenway.
Study Abroad
Participate in COF-sponsored cross-cultural education programs abroad as well as right at home in the U.S.
Sports & Recreation Activities
Join an intramural sports or esports team with students from other member institutions, take a fitness & wellness class, or take a swim at Simmons' Holmes Sports Center.
Performing Arts
Take classes towards a minor in Performing Arts or participate in an ensembles such as the COF orchestra, jazz band, dance or theater groups.
Student Activities
Attend student events for social, recreational, and educational programs between the five member colleges.
COF Minors
Our Performing Arts Minor and Sustainability Minor programs allow students to engage other Colleges of the Fenway students.
ProArts Consortium
The Professional Arts Consortium is an association of seven Boston-area colleges dedicated to the visual and performing arts:
- Berklee College of Music
- Boston Architectural College
- Boston Conservatory at Berklee
- Emerson College
- Massachusetts College of Art and Design
- New England Conservatory
- School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts
The ProArts Consortium provides unique opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, resource sharing, and professional development for students and faculty across member institutions.
