President Grant on GBH’s The Culture Show: Historians for the Smithsonian, Mellon Foundation, and BRIGHT Act Updates

In her monthly appearance on GBH’s The Culture Show, MassArt President Mary Grant joined host Jared Bowen to discuss a recent incident of a historian challenging the Smithsonian Institution, using documentation as a tool of preservation and protest.

Their conversation then touched on the evolution of funding priorities at the Mellon Foundation and what this means for humanities scholarship. President Grant also spoke about updates related to the BRIGHT Act here in Massachusetts, and an exciting call for art from Boston’s Midtown Hotel.
