Tuition Free Community College and Boston Bridge Program
Are you a resident of Boston and a current high school or community college student? If so, you may be eligible to partipate in the Boston Bridge program. The program allows eligible students to earn a bachelor’s degree free of tuition and mandatory fees at partner four-year colleges including MassArt.
Boston Bridge is a partnership between the City of Boston’s Tuition Free Community College (TFCC), funded in part by the Neighborhood Jobs Trust, and the state’s Commonwealth Commitment program.
Benefits of the Boston Bridge
As a Boston Bridge student, you will earn all the benefits of the Tuition-Free Community College Plan, as well as:
A financial contribution each semester to help with school-related expenses. This contribution is equal to 10% of the costs of your school’s tuition and mandatory fees.
Complete payment of your tuition and mandatory fees during the final two years of your bachelor’s degree.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Boston Bridge, you must:
Meet the requirements of the Tuition-Free Community College Plan
Attend one of TFCC’s public community colleges (Bunker Hill CC, Roxbury CC , MassBay CC or Massasoit CC)
Have no more than 15 community college credits to start
Finish your associate degree in 2.5 years
Finish your bachelor’s degree in another 2 years
Attend school continuously, full-time
Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA
DACA/TPS students are not eligible for the Boston Bridge at this time.
