Tuition Protection Insurance Plan
What happens when your student’s education is disrupted by an unexpected injury or illness? Depending on the timing of the withdrawal, you may not be eligible to receive a refund of all of your tuition, fees, room and board from MassArt.
We believe it’s important to offer an easy, affordable way to protect the investment your family has made in higher education. That’s why MassArt has partnered with GradGuard™ to make the Tuition Insurance Plan available to our students and/or families.
How does it work?
This tuition insurance program complements MassArt’s existing refund policy, and we believe students and/or families will benefit from this added protection by offering reimbursement for tuition, housing and other applicable out of pocket payments should a student need to withdraw for any covered illness, injury or mental health at any time during the semester.
The GradGuard Tuition Protection Plan is offered to MassArt students as a voluntary student benefit to complement the institution’s published existing refund policy. MassArt is not compensated for this program. Our partnership with GradGuard provides students who choose to enroll in the program with expanded benefits and reduced cost.
Tuition insurance is completely optional. We encourage all students and families to carefully review coverage details on the GradGuard website before purchasing. The insurance agreement is between you and GradGuard. MassArt is not a party to the agreement.
What are the benefits of tuition protection insurance?
GradGuard’s optional Tuition Protection Plan broadens the scope of the MassArt’s existing refund policy by ensuring reimbursement for tuition, housing and other payments if a student withdraws for a covered medical reason such as an illness, accident, or mental health issue at any time during the term.
