Memory / Diffusion, an installation by MASARY Studios in the newly renovated Boston Arts Academy building, is is an interactive artwork that straddles the line between art and technology, retains memories in the building and showcases them back to students throughout the year. Commissioned by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture through its Percent for Art program, the piece serves as “a living memory bank of the students’ high school experience.”

Co-founded by MassArt alum, Sam Okerstrom-Lang ’14, BFAStudio for Interrelated Media (SIM), MASARY Studios is a transdisciplinary artist collective reconsidering environments through site-specific installations using sound, light, and interactivity.
