Learn MoreClinical Training Program
The Counseling Center is dedicated to training clinical interns during the academic year.
The Counseling Center exists to provide high-quality, culturally informed, responsive, inclusive, and flexible in-person and telehealth mental health services to all eligible undergraduate and graduate students. We utilize an equity-based service model, which takes into consideration multiple factors such as type of insurance, level of familial support, financial resources, sociocultural identities, to increase access to services for artists, designers, and educators who make up the MassArt community. We recognize students who are impacted by injustices and mental health difficulties, and we are committed to supporting whole-person wellness that allows students to thrive. We affirm BIPOC, Queer, Neurodivergent, and additional sociocultural identities.
Trainees are selected from programs in counseling, social work, psychology, and other clinical disciplines. Due to the clinical nature of our site, trainees must be in the advanced year in their program. Clinical Supervision will be provided by a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
