Student Affinity Groups
The JET Office is committed to supporting and providing affinity space for students to come together, build community, talk about issues, celebrate cultures, and share resources.
Affinity groups "allow students who share an identity—usually a marginalized identity—to gather, talk in a safe space about issues related to that identity, and transfer that discussion into action that makes for a more equitable experience at school." Learn more about affinity groups >>
Below is a current listing of MassArt’s Student Affinity Groups. If you are interested in starting a new group or have ideas for programming and community building, then JET staff and JET Student Leaders are here to support you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Queer Artist Collective (QAC)
The Queer Artist Collective is comprised of a group of students on MassArt’s campus who identify within the LGBTQ+ community. The hope for this group is to provide continued support for queer students and allow them a safe space to gather, share ideas, critique work, celebrate, learn, and build community.
