Annual Photo Book Auction

Each year, seniors in the photography department reach out to generous and talented photographers who donate signed copies of their artist’s books. This celebration includes a night of silent auctions, socializing, food, and a chance to view beautiful, rare photobooks. Proceeds from the auction support the senior photography catalogue of student work, published every spring semester to signify and archive the work of our graduating class.

A group of people, some sitting on the floor and some standing, observe photographs displayed on the white walls at a MassArt exhibitions gallery. Many have backpacks and notebooks, and a few are writing or sketching.

Photography Senior Show

Each year culminated with a photography thesis exhibition featuring work from all of the senior photo majors.

Four sheer fabric panels hang against a dark wall, each displaying a projected image—from abstract shapes to an underwater scene—creating a striking installation reminiscent of Photography Events.

MFA Thesis Exhibition

Held at the MassArt x SoWa gallery and curated by a local artist or curator, the MFA Thesis Exhibition is the cumulative showing of the MFA candidates’ thesis projects.
