Dynamic Media Institute (DMI) programs focus on the future of communication design, from interactive systems through experience design, and more.

MassArt’s Dynamic Media Institute (DMI) MFA offers two programs: a STEM certified Master of Fine Arts and a Postbaccalaureate Certificate. The MFA may be earned in two or three years. The DMI program exists at the intersection of design, technology, and art—it focuses on the future uses of dynamic media for communication design, including human-centered design, experience design, AR, VR, game design, interactive installation, and more.

MFA

The full-time DMI MFA may be earned in three tracks: a full-time two-year track in four semesters, or a three-year track in either five or six semesters.

Postbac

Our Dynamic Media Institute postbaccalaureate program allows you to explore the role of dynamic media in communication design in one year.
