Cummings Foundation awards $25 million to nonprofits from Boston area

“One hundred organizations were awarded grants of $100,000 to be disbursed over two to five years, while the remaining 40 will receive grants ranging from $200,000 to $500,000 over 10 years. Recipients of $100,000 grants include Artisan’s Asylum, which provides underserved kids with instruction in STEAM fields; Mass College of Art and Design in support of Artward Bound, a free four-year college prep program; The Next Step Fund, which works with at-risk youth living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and rare genetic disorders in visualizing and realizing their potential; Uncommon Threads in support of emergency and workforce clothing distribution services and personal development programs for low-income women; and Wilmington Memorial Library to help revitalize the first floor of the library.”
