Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar supports the MassArt community with a range of enrollment and administrative-related services.
Our office is here to help current students navigate many administrative aspects of their academic journey. That includes course registration and cross-registration, adding and dropping classes, and managing transfer credits. We handle requests for transcripts, certificates of enrollment, degree verifications, and diplomas, and also work closely with faculty to assist with grades and class rosters. By providing each student with a big-picture view of their academic standing and progress, we help ensure that they are effectively working toward their goals.
Our team is responsible for the safety, storage, access, and privacy of all student and alumni records. We also provide support for day-to-day internal reporting and prepare and submit regular reports to the City of Boston and the Department of Education.
If you’re a third party and need to verify a student’s enrollment, please visit the National Student Clearinghouse, which is the service MassArt uses for enrollment verification.
Students who need enrollment verification should email registrar@massart.edu and include your name, Student ID, and where you need the verification sent.
Current Students
Current students can download a copy of their MassArt transcript free of charge through the Self Service student portal.
Alumni
Alumni can request a copy of their transcript through Parchment. There is a $10 fee for transcripts. Requests typically take three to five business days to process (not including holidays or school vacation periods), so please make your requests well in advance.
If you are a MassArt Alum and need a copy of your transcript to apply to a MassArt graduate program or apply for readmission as an undergraduate, please email registrar@massart.edu. Let us know when you attended and completed your MassArt degree (if applicable) and the program you are applying for. Once this info is confirmed, we will send your transcript to the Admissions Office, free of charge.
Please direct questions to the Office of the Registrar at (617) 879-7272.
