Do I Qualify?
Information about how your financial aid eligibility is determined.
Financial aid can be difficult to navigate. The first step is to determine if you meet the three basic qualifications.
To be eligible for federal financial aid at MassArt, you must be:
- A U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program at MassArt
- Taking at least six credits per semester
Additional Qualifications:
- Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every academic year
- Provide any additional documents or information we request
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in their program of study
For International Students
Only U.S. Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents are eligible to file the FAFSA. However, international students may apply for a private student loan with a creditworthy U.S. Citizen or a non-citizen permanent resident as a co-signer. (link to private student loans)
