Shubha Sunder is the author of Boomtown Girl (Black Lawrence Press), a story collection set in her hometown of Bangalore, India, which won the 2021 St. Lawrence Book Award and was a finalist for the Flannery O’Connor Prize for Short Fiction. Her debut novel, Optional Practical Training, is forthcoming from Graywolf Press. Prior to becoming a writer and a teacher of creative writing, she taught math and physics at the high school level.
At MassArt, Shubha teaches the Fiction Workshop in the Creative Writing Minor.
