Cat Pleska is a seventh generation West Virginian, author, editor, educator, publisher, and storyteller. Her first memoir, Riding on Comets, was published by West Virginia University Press in May 2015. Her second memoir, My Life in Water, will be released in May from Uncollected Press. Cat’s personal essays and shorter memoir pieces have been published in several literary magazines throughout the region. She holds an MFA from Goucher College in Baltimore, as well as an MA in Humanities and a BA in English.
She is full time faculty at Marshall University and also teaches in the Graduate Humanities program.
At MassArt, Cat Pleska teaches Thinking Making Writing.
