Re-admission Application Process

Candidates seeking readmission can apply for either the Spring or Fall semester.

Important Deadlines

Spring Admission: October 15

Fall 2026 Admission: March 1

Applying for Financial Aid

You should apply for financial aid at the same time you apply for admission — don’t wait until you receive your admissions decision. You’ll only need to fill out one application — the Free Application for Federal Student Aid — to apply for financial aid. Learn more about the FAFSA.

Re-admissions Application Requirements

There is no application fee for re-admission candidates.

Submit an Application

Your essay is a chance to share why you left MassArt, what you’ve been up to since, and why you’re seeking re-admission now.

For readmission, you should submit a portfolio showcasing at least 15 pieces of your work. These could highlight skills from your time at MassArt or from your professional and educational experiences since.

Learn More about Submitting your Portfolio

We suggest including a résumé that highlights your achievements and experiences. This is a great way to showcase your skills and journey.

If you attended any institutions after leaving MassArt, you must submit official transcripts.

In order to be considered official, transcripts can be sent one of two ways:

  1. Directly to MassArt in an envelope stamped and sealed by a college registrar
  2. Submitted digitally directly from the college to the Admissions Office at admissions@massart.edu

Transcripts submitted by the student are not considered official.
