The Sustainability Studio is an interdisciplinary, experimental, and evolving space for collaboration, research, and creative exploration. Functioning as an open laboratory for cross-disciplinary exchange, the studio brings together students and faculty from across the college to investigate sustainability through art, design, and material practice.
Sustainability Studio at MassArt.
Each semester, seven to nine courses from a range of disciplines use the studio as a shared environment for experimentation, dialogue, and project development. The space supports work that addresses environmental responsibility, social impact, systems thinking, and innovative approaches to sustainable practice.
Located in DMC110 behind the Atrium on the first floor of the Design and Media Center, the Sustainability Studio hosts exhibitions and installations throughout the semester featuring works in progress, research projects, and collaborative initiatives from Sustainability Studio courses and sustainability-focused projects across campus.
