2024 Schedule

  • Check-in for campus shared housing is 11AM – 2PM Sunday, July 21
  • Please notify us if you will be arriving outside this timeframe.
  • Cohort meetings and a group activity will be offered Sunday, July 21 starting at 4 pm
  • Classes are Monday – Friday, July 22 to July 26, 9:00AM – 3:00PM, with optional studio evenings.
  • Depart from campus housing Saturday, July 27

TAB Non-credit Course Cost: $1,045
TAB Graduate 3 Credit Course Tuition: $2,655

Refunds

  • Withdraw before June 1 to receive a refund of all payments.
  • A written withdrawal request to ce@massart.edu is required.

Housing

On-campus shared rooms are available in MassArt’s Tree House Residence Hall. Each room has two beds and a shared bath. They are available Sunday through Saturday (the program concludes on Saturday). Linens are provided; residents will bring their own toiletries.

Credit And Professional Development Points

Massachusetts College of Art and Design offers graduate credits and issues an official transcript for work completed in the 2024 TAB Summer Institute. A Certificate of Completion may be used for MA Professional Development Points.

Requirements for 3 Graduate Credits

  • Pre-institute online components including reading, reflection and writing.  
  • Attend a minimum of 135 hours combined class time, pre-institute work, and studio time.
  • Share a demo in Studio and/ or present at the unconference on Thursday.
  • Complete a final project. Past projects have included class websites, room design plans, curriculum mapping, and advocacy brochures.
