Policies & Resources for PCE students
Learn about the resources available to you as a Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) student, along with the MassArt policies that apply to your enrollment.
Access & Student Benefits
Current PCE students with active ID cards have access to many benefits off campus, such as museum access, discounts, and the library.

If your PCE class is canceled, you will be notified by email or phone.
In some cases, course schedules, faculty, or course content may need to be adjusted—students will be informed of any major updates.
PCE classes are designed for adult learners and may have adult themes and content. Students under 18 must have guardian permission to enroll. For younger students, explore Youth & Teen Programs.
Some PCE courses are offered for college credit.
- Most credit courses can be taken for graduate credit (500 or above) with additional or different requirements as specified by the faculty.
- Studio foundation courses are undergraduate credit only.
Auditing allows you to participate fully in a course without receiving credit or a grade.
- You participate in lectures, critiques, and coursework, but do not receive a grade or any evaluation of performance.
- A non-credit enrollment may be changed to credit no later than before the second class meeting, and vice versa.
Academic Information
Semester grades are only available through MassArt Self-Service, which you will need to access using your NetID.
If you are unable to log in, please contact Tech Central.
Note that the College has a dual grading system.
If you plan to transfer credits to another institution or into a MassArt BFA program, consult your registrar or dean before enrolling. Courses taken through PCE are subject to transfer credit review and restrictions.
Official and unofficial transcripts are available for $10 each. Transcripts take two to five days to process.
