First-Year Students

Living on campus is the best way to experience everything MassArt has to offer. Be sure to submit your complete housing application and all required deposits by May 1, and we’ll be sure to guarantee you a space in on-campus housing.

So long as you stay in housing for your entire first year and complete the reapplication process on time, we’ll guarantee housing for a second year too.

First-Year Housing Timeline

May 1
Submit your completed housing application and required deposits to receive guaranteed on-campus housing.

Mid-April
Incoming students begin receiving confirmation that an on-campus space is being held for them.

May 15
Deadline to complete mutual roommate requests.

Mid-June
Room assignments and housing license agreements are sent.

Transfer Students

On-campus housing is highly sought after by students coming to MassArt. While we’ll do our best to house all transfer students who want to be in on-campus housing, we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to get you in.

Be sure to submit all applications and deposits by our May 1 priority deadline so you get full consideration.

Transfer Housing Timeline

May 1
Priority deadline to submit your housing application and required deposits.

Late May
Transfer students are notified whether they have received on-campus housing or have been placed on the waitlist.

Mid-June
Students who receive housing are sent their room assignments and housing license agreements.

Students on the waitlist will be contacted as space becomes available.

Spring admits: Housing assignments are made on an ongoing basis as space becomes available.
