Unique to MassArt

The Initial Teacher License is granted by the State of Massachusetts for a single level—either Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 or Grade 5 through Grade 12. Students usually complete the full-time 36-credit MAT/AE program in four semesters, nine credits per semester (fall, spring, summer, and a second fall).
