Ryan Diaz is a designer, writer, and educator exploring community through performance, emotional material, and pedagogies of vulgarity, schmaltz, and joy. His received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in graphic design, his BFA from the University of Washington in visual communications design, and was selected as a Chronicle Books Design Fellow, a Writers Corps Ambassadorship for On the Boards, and the MOMUS Emerging Critics writing residency. His professional experience includes work for book & editorial design, information design, and branding while balancing his practice in the performing arts, self-publishing, survivor-focused self-defense training, writing collectives, and artist collaborations.
