Chandra Baerg is a multi-disciplinary artist and registered architect in the State of California. Specializing in residential design and sustainability, she has a broad portfolio of built work utilizing traditional as well as alternative construction methods such as straw bale and rammed earth.

Baerg has worked at a number of design firms including Arkin Tilt Architects and Dufner Heighes and was a cofounder of Toby Long Design x Clever Homes, with whom she collaborates on modular-designed projects. She has served as Guest Critic at California College of the Arts, New York Institute of Technology, and MassArt, was Limited Term Professor of Sculpture at the University of North Georgia, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the San Francisco Art Institute.

With current research interests at the intersection of aesthetics, philosophy, and policy, she is a proponent of net zero-energy buildings, and social housing.

Baerg obtained an MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute where she was Headlands Center for the Arts Graduate Fellowship nominee, and a BFA in Architectural Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
