My practice is about imagining how our species can be in right relationship with each other and the ecosystems around us. Being a Public Artist has me often reflecting on who “the public” is and how to create work that challenges dominant narratives about those in our public who bear the weight of an exploitative and extractive culture. The strength and humility of the relationships between people and the more-than-humans we’re in community with will determine our ability to adapt to changing environmental and social conditions in ways that can make our communities more resilient.
