If you are an international student admitted to MassArt, there are a few additional steps to complete before your arrival:
Apply for an F-1 Visa
Once you are formally admitted, you will need to apply for F-1 student visa status to study in the United States. Our Admissions and International Programs teams will guide you through the process and provide the necessary documentation, including your I-20 form. It’s important to begin this process as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Monitor Your Email Inboxes
Your MassArt email will be activated one week after your deposits are received. Until you arrive on campus, we will communicate with you through both your personal email and your MassArt email, but we strongly encourage you to check your MassArt email regularly for updates. If you have questions about activating your MassArt email, please contact Tech Central at helpdesk@massart.edu or (617) 879-7888.
Connect with the International Education Center (IEC)
The International Education Center (IEC) is a vital resource for international students at MassArt. The IEC supports global exchange and intercultural connections by providing resources and opportunities to help you succeed in a diverse world. The Center offers guidance as you navigate visa requirements, adjust to campus life, and build a path toward global competency. Through the IEC, you’ll engage in experiences that deepen your understanding of others while fostering your own creative journey.
