Admissions Policies
We understand there’s no single formula that determines potential for success. MassArt assesses your application based on academics, artistic abilities, potential, motivation, and passion.
All applicants receive a holistic application review and the final admission decision is based on your potential for success at MassArt. Our admissions committee aims to be flexible, sensitive, and personal. Your application evaluation considers both objective and subjective criteria, focusing on your portfolio, academics, and personal traits. Admission values your artistic experiences, intellectual abilities, and personal qualities for success at the College.

Admissions & Financial Aid Decisions
Admission decisions are separate from financial aid awards; your financial need doesn’t affect admission. After you’re admitted, the Office of Student Financial Assistance reviews aid applications. Completing the FAFSA early ensures timely aid notifications.
