MAAM and Triennial Artist Nicholas Galanin Recognized Among Top U.S. Artists

Artnet has recognized Nicholas Galanin as one of the most significant artists to see in U.S. museums this fall. His installation Aáni yéi xat duwasáakw (I am called Land) is currently on view at the MassArt Art Museum (MAAM), alongside his striking deconstructed totem pole sculpture installed across from the MassArt campus as part of the Boston Public Art Triennial, of which MAAM is a proud partner. Together, these works offer a powerful reflection on Indigenous identity, culture, and our connection to the land.
