To be eligible for federal financial aid at MassArt, you must be:

• A U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
• Enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in an undergraduate, graduate, or eligible certificate program at MassArt
• Taking at least six credits per semester

Additional Qualifications

• Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every academic year
• Provide any additional documents or information we request
• Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in their program of study

For International Students

• Only U.S. Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents are eligible to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid.
• International students may be considered for merit-based scholarship aid through their admissions applications, but are not eligible for federal student loans.
• International students may apply for a private student loan with a creditworthy U.S. Citizen or a non-citizen permanent resident as a co-signer. Learn More
