The Academic Resource Center (ARC) at MassArt collaborates with students and faculty to support instruction, enhance academic success, and retain a diverse student body.
Academic Resource CenterEstablished in 2001, the Compass Program is an advising and mentoring program for first-generation college students. We help guide students during their educational journey at MassArt by creating a community of support composed of peers, faculty, staff and alumni. Our mentors provide advising and assistance in navigating issues of transition in academic, creative, social, cultural, and personal areas.

Students are eligible for The Academic Compass program through an admissions review of portfolio, grades, and recommendations.
Additionally students must be:
Artward Bound alumni seamlessly transition into the Compass Program, continuing their artistic and academic growth as Compass students.
