Public Records Request
Members of the public may make a request to access public records from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
The Massachusetts Legislature approved a bill requiring the improvement of public records on June 3, 2016. This legislation, outlined in Session Law Chapter 121, took effect on January 1, 2017., and provides guidelines for members of the public to follow to submit a Public Records Request (PRR).
Please follow the guidelines below to make a Public Records Request (PRR).
Only questions pertaining to the public records request process or status should be sent to this email account. All public records requests should be submitted by following the guidelines described below.

- Please consider how you can narrow the scope of your request to expedite response time.
- The first 4 hours of work performed to respond to a PRR will be performed at no cost. After that, the College may charge up to $25 per hour.
- Requests for 1-4 precisely-defined documents will be produced within 3-9 days of receipt of the request, at no cost.
- Please visit Institutional Research and Strategic Effectiveness to access the most recent annual reports, vital signs, and outcomes reports, which may satisfy your request; otherwise, follow the process outlined above.
