The Film and Video department presents a dynamic lineup of filmmakers and moving image artists on campus for screenings, panel discussions, master classes, and performances.

MassArt Ciné Culture (MACC) screenings are free and open to the public, with most screenings followed by Q&A sessions with visiting filmmakers and scholars—either in person or via Zoom livestream.

Frederick Wiseman: A Retrospective

This spring, we are honored to join forces with other Boston film institutions to celebrate cinema legend Frederick Wiseman. This retrospective will feature freshly-restored films and will be screened at the Brattle Theatre, the Coolidge Corner Theatre, IFF Boston, Museum of Fine Arts and the Somerville Theatre. MassArt will be screening three of these films on May 10th – The Last Letter, Deaf and Meat. Registration is free and open to the public.
