Each semester, the MassArt Ciné Culture (MACC) Screening Series brings a dynamic lineup of filmmakers and moving image artists to campus for screenings, panel discussions, master classes, and performances.
MassArt Ciné Culture (MACC) screenings are free and open to the public, with most screenings followed by Q&A sessions with visiting filmmakers and scholars—either in person or via Zoom livestream.
This spring, we are honored to join forces with other Boston film institutions to celebrate cinema legend Frederick Wiseman. This retrospective will feature freshly-restored films and will be screened at the Brattle Theatre, the Coolidge Corner Theatre, IFF Boston, Museum of Fine Arts and the Somerville Theatre. MassArt will be screening three of these films on May 10th – The Last Letter, Deaf and Meat. Registration is free and open to the public.
Founded in 2018 by filmmaker and former MassArt Film/Video department professor Soon-Mi Yoo, the Ciné Culture series is supported by MassArt’s Office of Academic Affairs.
