As a graduate student, you may be eligible for financial aid options including federal student loans, scholarships, and assistantships.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, most MassArt graduate and post-baccalaureate programs are charged a tuition rate of $945 per credit, regardless of residency.
Your total tuition will depend on your specific program and the number of credits you take each academic year. Some programs or courses may have additional fees that are not included in the standard per-credit tuition rate.
Your Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of the total cost of attending MassArt for one academic year. It includes both:
Direct costs billed by MassArt, such as tuition and required fees.
Indirect costs you may pay separately, such as housing and food, books and art supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. These estimates vary depending your enrollment, lifestyle choices, and personal circumstances.
Because graduate programs have different credit requirements and schedules, estimated costs vary by program and year of study.

If you are enrolled in nine or more credits, you must enroll in a MassArt student health insurance plan or submit an eligible insurance waiver.
If your program begins in the summer term, you will be charged for each month you are enrolled in summer classes.
You will be charged in the fall for the full academic year.
If you apply for financial aid and are admitted to MassArt, you will receive a personalized Cost of Attendance (COA) based on your living situation.
