BOSTON – June 25, 2025 – Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) is now accepting nominations for the 2025 MassArt Common Good Awards. Submissions will be accepted through August 1, 2025.

The annual awards ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, celebrates individuals and organizations whose work advances advocacy, education, placemaking, design thinking, and creative practice in service of the public good.

“The MassArt community is deeply dedicated to advancing the common good,” said Joyce Linehan, special assistant to the president of MassArt and driving force behind MassArt’s Common Good Awards. “Now in its third year, we are proud to be lifting up the stories and accomplishments of the many artists, designers, and educators working to create substantive change in our society.”

The MassArt Common Good Awards honor those individuals and groups who exemplify the transformative power of the arts in shaping communities, addressing societal challenges, and enhancing quality of life. These awards spotlight the role of art, design, and education in fostering positive change across disciplines and geographies.

Nominations are open to members of the MassArt community as well as the broader arts and culture community throughout Massachusetts and beyond. Self-nominations are welcomed.
