“A bold and vibrant contemporary art scene has been growing from within the historic, high-brow, cultural aura of the Boston metropolitan area. Home to iconic institutions such as the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) — the first art college in the U.S. to offer degrees — Boston has always preserved a revolutionary spirit, which remains an essential element in the local cultural sphere.

“Notably, the Boston metro was home to the fourth-largest film festival scene in the country and boasted the sixth-largest local arts and culture workforce. The metro also scored sixth-highest for cultural tours, cultural establishments and ratio of establishments per 100,000 residents. The data shows a metropolis committed to sharing and expanding its culture, which can very well mean a smooth transition for remote workers coming to experience it. And, with Boston coworking space accounting for the ninth-largest flexible office market in our ranking, there are plenty of places to start making friends.”
