Doris Yaffe Headshot

This year, MassArt is honoring the late Doris Yaffe. Doris’s passion for nurturing young, creative artists within Boston’s fashion scene makes the 2025 MassArt Fashion Show the perfect place to celebrate her tremendous legacy. Doris was more than a fashion icon – she was an impeccably dressed force of nature. She started her career at Sara Fredericks on Newbury Street, had a lifelong collaboration with MassArt alumnus Alfred Fiandaca, and eventually became Fashion Director at Saks Fifth Avenue. Doris used her passion for fashion to embrace community, volunteerism, and activism in Boston. Her influence was undeniable and her impact reached far beyond the runway. Throughout her life, she lent her voice and energy to critical global issues of equality and justice and spent countless hours encouraging young people to forge their own paths.
