Caterina (Trina) Urrata is a glass artist and Visiting Lecturer in Glass at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she earned her BFA in Glass in 2012. Her work draws on childhood memories and dreams, using glass to create playful objects, sculptures, and installations that evoke sentiment, wonder, and unease.
Urrata works across a range of glassmaking techniques, including flameworking, glassblowing, kiln casting, fusing, slumping, and coldworking. She is also co-owner of Fiamma Glass Studio in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she creates work and teaches alongside fellow glass artist and MassArt alumnus David Weintraub.
