Bio: 

Stephanie Cardon is a cross-disciplinary artist from France and the United States whose current work and research focuses on how one’s perception and experience of space and distance can be altered through patterns and interference.

In 2014, Cardon was a Boston Artadia Award finalist. Her work has been supported by the Saint Botolph Club Foundation and the Institut Français’s Villa Médicis Hors-les-Murs. It has been exhibited nationally at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, The Wassaic Project, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA), Boston Sculptors Gallery, kijidome, Kingston Gallery, Fountain, Jane Deering Gallery, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, among others, and internationally at Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris), Sotheby’s Conduit Street Gallery and Hoopers Gallery (London), Fondazione Forma per la Fotographia (Rome), the Off Festival of the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie (Arles, France).

Cardon was Executive Editor of Big Red & Shiny, a non-profit organization and online publication about contemporary art issues and ideas from 2012-2015.
