What We Make
MassArt Art Museum
MassArt is home to Boston's only free contemporary art museum. As a kunsthalle, or non-collecting museum, MAAM shows temporary exhibitions that feature the work of artists at all stages of their careers to bring fresh and varied perspectives to Boston and to the MassArt community.
MassArt's campus serves as a canvas for our students. In addition to site-specific installations throughout our buildings, MassArt has seven dedicated gallery spaces for students to program and exhibit their art.
Throughout the academic year, MassArt welcomes artists and lecturers across all disciplines to enhance curricular offerings. Recently, MassArt has hosted legendary shoe designer Stuart Weitzman, NYC designer and author Adam Kurtz, multimedia artist Jack Pierson '94 BFA SIM, Architect Eric Höweler, and Jeweler and Sculptor Joyce Scott.
