Renee Harding

“I encourage MassArt students to remain curious, embrace experimentation, and develop their own perspectives on fashion and its possibilities.”

Renee is a Professor of Fashion Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she works with students at all levels to develop their creative voices, strengthen their design skills, and discover their individual approaches to fashion. Her teaching emphasizes embracing the creative process as much as the final product, encouraging students to draw on their strengths, experiment with new ideas, and approach design with curiosity and confidence.

Before joining MassArt, Renee worked in the fashion industry, designing private-label men’s activewear and sportswear for licensing designers and various mass-market retailers. Her experience included designing and developing print, knit, and woven patterns using computer-aided design. This industry background informs her teaching, allowing her to connect design concepts and creative exploration with the technical skills and practical considerations of professional fashion design.

Renee holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the Academy of Art University.
