Industry Experience

Joanna Gluck is an educator, artist, and creative leader dedicated to fostering accessibility and inclusion in contemporary art and craft. As a Visiting Lecturer and Program Area Chair in Glass at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she teaches courses in glass and sculpture, guiding students through independent studio work, contemporary art practices, and sustainable approaches to material use.

Beyond MassArt, Gluck is the co-founder, designer, and director of Vetro Vero, a glass studio that preserves traditional craftsmanship while pushing the boundaries of glass design. Her professional experience also includes work as a glassblower at Chihuly Studio and as an instructor at Pilchuck Glass School.

Gluck holds an MFA in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Art History and Studio Art from Union College. With over two decades of experience in glass and sculpture, she continues to shape the field through her teaching, artistic practice, and commitment to expanding access to glass education.
