The MassArt Auction Supports Students Scholarships and Academic Programs

Boston, MA – October 9, 2018 – Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) announces the 30th Anniversary MassArt Auction will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019. This year for the first time, due to the ongoing renovation of the Bakalar & Paine Galleries, the auction will be held in MassArt’s Design and Media Center. Works of art in a range of media from emerging to established artists will be available for bid in the silent and live auctions. The deadline to submit artwork for consideration is October 28, 2018.

The MassArt Auction annually draws a crowd of over 700 collectors and art enthusiasts seeking to view and purchase exceptional contemporary art while supporting the College. All proceeds from the auction provide vital scholarship aid and academic program support for MassArt students. The 29th MassArt Auction raised over $1.3 million in proceeds to benefit these programs.

WHEN:  Saturday, April 27, 2019 – 6:30 PM

              OPENING RECEPTION: Monday, April 22, 6PM
               Admission to Opening Reception included with Auction sponsorship
               or advance ticket purchase.

              PUBLIC PREVIEW DAYS: Tuesday, April 23 – Thursday April 25
