Undergraduate StudentsThis is where Fearless Starts.
Every student who graduates from Massachusetts College of Art and Design receives a shirt that says "MassArt Made Me Fearless." This fearlessness to innovate, challenge, and redefine the world around them is what sets our alumni, students, faculty, and staff apart. Established in 1873, MassArt was and remains the only freestanding public college of art and design in the Unites States. The founders dared to imagine a school - dedicated to producing educators, professional artists, designers, and architects - that was open to anyone with talent and the will to succeed.
True to its history, MassArt continues to envision all that is possible and strives to reach it and make it accessible to the greater cultural community. The MassArt Design and Media Center, which opened in January 2016, is shared by all design and media departments. This allows animators to partner with architects, industrial designers with fashion designers, videographers with illustrators, and countless other multidisciplinary combinations. This growth provides new studios and equipment as well as new exhibit and lecture halls.
We strive to give students a place where they can grow into the artist, designer, or educator that they've dared to imagine. See if you can envision yourself here, visit our campus, and contact us with any questions.
