Vaccine & Booster Requirements

MassArt is committed to ensuring academic continuity within a comprehensive and safe plan for campus activity. Full vaccination compliance is a critical element of that plan. Community members who come to campus are in vaccination compliance if they are either up to date with their vaccination or have been approved for a medical exemption or religious exemption.

Vaccine & boosters

To date, the following MassArt campus constituencies have been notified that they are required to be immunized against COVID-19 with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine:

  • All students
  • Non-unit professionals
  • Employees covered under the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA Day) collective bargaining agreement
  • Employees covered under the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) collective bargaining agreement
  • Employees covered under the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) collective bargaining agreement
  • Employees covered under the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education (DGCE) collective bargaining agreement

Students and employees may apply for a religious exemption or a medical exemption; exemption applications will be reviewed and approved by the College, consistent with its obligations under the law.

Covid-19 BOOSTERS
  • All students were required to receive their booster dose by Friday, March 18.
  • All faculty and staff were required to receive their booster dose no later than April 25.
  • Locate and schedule your booster dose using the MassVaxFinder website.
  • MassArt-proximate booster locations include the Whittier Street Health Center, CVS Longwood Medical (Moderna), and the Brigham Circle Walgreens (Pfizer-BioNTech).
  • In order to be in compliance, you must update your vaccination records in the CoVerified app.
    • Click the “+” menu , select "Upload Vaccine or Exemption," select "COVID-19 Vaccine" as the record type and choose the appropriate booster manufacturer and dose, enter the date of vaccination, location, and then upload a picture of the front of your card.

The health and wellbeing of our entire campus community remain our top priority. As we continue to combat the worst global pandemic in more than a century, we are adopting this policy because vaccines are the best way to protect ourselves and our community against the COVID-19 virus.
