Emily Docheff has found various ways to channel her creativity while at MassArt - through her Painting major, her Creative Writing minor, and through her experience working in the Bakalar & Paine Galleries. After working in the Galleries, Emily secured a summer internship at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (ICA) as an Educator in Summer 2018. In Fall 2018, Emily went on to work for the ICA as a Teaching Artist for the WallTalk Program. In her own words:
"I chose MassArt because of a multitude of creative opportunities. I've been able to branch so far out of my comfort zone with subjects like printmaking, paper-making and poetry. I've since declared a Creative Writing minor and found a passion in museum education. There's a creative electricity in the faculty and students here that drew me in as an artist and a person. I've been able to grow at my own pace and have discovered exciting new interests to follow."
