PRESIDENT NELSON'S STATEMENT ON THE PROVOST search
Excerpted from a Letter to the MassArt Community on May 23, 2017
We will form a Provost Search Committee charged to conduct a search that is broad in scope, that solicits a pool of candidates that is diverse and qualified, and that presents our campus with a select group of candidates for interviews sometime during the spring 2018 term. Our goal is to hire a new provost to begin service by July 1, 2018.

Open Forum Discussions
Thank you to all the faculty, students, and staff who gathered at the open forum discussions in October to share their views on the qualities, characteristics, skills and abilities our next Provost should have. Everyone had the opportunity to voice their opinions in this very important part of the process, and the information gathered was taken into consideration in the development of the Provost Position Description.
Please forward any candidate recommendations you may have directly to our search consultants, Park Square Executive Search, at MassArt@parksquare.com.
General Feedback or Questions
The members of the Provost Search Committee welcome the College community’s involvement in the search process, and invite you to contact either of the Committee Co-Chairs with your suggestions or questions: Soon-Mi Yoo or Stephen Tourlentes.
