The latest exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Ansel Adams in Our Time, features work by Photography Faculty Abe Morell, Laura McPhee, and Stephen Tourlentes.
Alumnus John Crowe '71 BFA Art Education, who was the Art Department Chairman in Scituate during the mid 1980s, was one of three 2018 MassArt Alumni Award Recipients.
“Receiving a MassArt Alumni Award sums up an affectionate and longstanding relationship with the college,” Crowe said. “MassArt prepared me well for a decades-long career, including a three-year position as Scituate’s K-12 Art Department Chairperson from 1984 to 1987.”

The Ilias Lalaounis Gallery as part of NYC Jewelry Week 2018 presents the Studio Jewelry Exhibition: History and Making Under the Light of the Acropolis by students and faculty from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. A collaboration between MassArt, the Lalaounis Gallery in New York City, and the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum (ILJM), Athens, Greece, the exhibition presents the extraordinary studio jewelry created by the students and their professors during the spring and summer terms of 2018.
Alumnus John Crowe, along with two others, will receive the 2018 Alumni Award on Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Boston. Crowe, who graduated in 1971, has led a 44-year career as an art teacher that started in Brockton, where he first taught at the Hancock School.
