MassArt Announces Eclipse: 2018 MassArt Fashion Show
Saturday, May 19, 2018 at MassArt
Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) will present the work of the next generation of fashion designers at its year-end event on Saturday, May 19, at 8:00pm in the Design and Media Center Atrium on MassArt’s campus. This year’s showcase, titled ECLIPSE, will feature a sample of collections from the senior class which represent a reflection of our world today.
"The 2018 MassArt Fashion senior collections perfectly capture the zeitgeist of today. Their concepts touch on women empowerment, racial tensions, and environmental impacts. They speak to music, world cultures, pop culture, technology and nature. Texture, color, sparkle and utility will walk down the runway representing every aspect of fashion,” said Renee Harding, professor of fashion design at MassArt. “Being part of the student’s journey through this self-expression of fashion is an honor, and I truly enjoy supporting their vision. There will be something for everyone to connect to in the showcase of collections presented in ECLIPSE MassArt Fashion 2018."
