Fall 2019 Photo Lecture Series: Sebastian Smee
The MassArt Photography Department proudly presents visiting speaker Sebastian Smee as a part of the Fall 2019 Photography Lecture Series.
Sebastian Smee is the author of The Art of Rivalry: Four Friendships, Betrayals, and Breakthroughs in Modern Art and the art critic for the Washington Post. He worked for eight years as an art critic at the Boston Globe, winning the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 2011. Born and raised in Australia, he has written five books on Lucian Freud and one on Mark Bradford. He teaches non-fiction writing at Wellesley College.
