Bio: 

Dr. Karla Odenwald is an educator with over twenty five years of experience. She holds a series of advanced degrees within the humanities, and has completed doctoral studies both in the U.S and abroad in the areas of Philosophy, Literature and Education. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Odenwald has focused on bringing together the arts and sciences through her creative and analytical teaching methods. An expert in the fields of Communication and Writing, she has taken her knowledge beyond the classroom and acted as Speaking and Writing Coach for top executives in multinational companies. In addition, Dr. Odenwald has participated in the strategic development of university courses and worked as a consultant for Test Preparation and Textbook Review. She has published a series of articles on the theory and practice of education, and her longest body of academic work explores the framework of critical-creative thinking in the adult classroom. Outside of academia, Dr. Odenwald worked as a freelance journalist and acted as Associate Producer for a number of independent films that have aired on cable television.
